Context and Background
In cable car technology, electrification is being introduced without restriction. These include heated seats, LEDs for indoor and outdoor lighting, monitors and speakers. Even 5V USB charging plugs or W-LAN are no longer a rarity. Our longtime customer builds modern cableway lifts that meet the requirements of demanding customers.
In this case we use the 145E-13.8-SD. This converter supplies the secondary 13.8 VDC consumers, as well as the backup battery. Our transformer is fed by supercaps, which have a potential of less than 20V when empty. In fully charged state, however, its potential is almost 100VDC.
