Demke Electronic GmbH develops and distributes high-quality, customised DC/DC converters from quantity 1.

Two years ago, we successfully developed our first DC/DC battery charging converter from 13.8V to 57V with galvanic isolation, 450W power and E1-Vehicle approval (type approval for components installed in vehicles) for one of our customers.

Since then, the demand for potted DC/DC converters with cable connections has been increasing continuously. Potted DC/DC power supplies can be mounted outside control cabinets, e.g. directly on the chassis. This avoids unnecessary waste heat in the splash-proof control cabinet, frees up space for sensitive components and, last but not least, several DC/DC converters can be used decentrally.

The relatively soft UL94-V0 listed polyurethane encapsulation not only ensures a vibration- and shock-resistant product but also provides excellent protection against environmental influences of any kind. The aluminium housing further underlines the robustness.

For the high currents at low voltages, we have worked specifically on the technology to bring the high currents from the cable to the PCB in a space-saving and safe way.

In the future, not only the galvanically isolated step-up and step-down DC/DC converters up to 1000W will be available with flying leads, but also the galvanically non-isolated DC/DC step-down converters of the 100 series (e.g. 154DH-24-ON) as well as the galvanically non-isolated DC/DC step-up and step-down converters of the 200 series (e.g. 257E1-24-SD). Of course, these DC/DC converters feature CC/CV - (constant current constant voltage) for battery charging applications and extremely low AC ripple.

On request, the DC/DC converters can be supplied with mounted connectors.

Potted DC/DC converters with cable connections are generally used in vehicles of all types, in construction and work machines, as well as in driverless transport systems.
