Efficient DC/DC converters for automated guided vehicles with WiFi control system
A customer is developing automated guided vehicle systems (AGVs) that control material flows in vehicle production, including complete vehicle chassis. The shuttles are powered by lithium-ion batteries, which can be charged in just ten minutes - conventional lead batteries would take around five hours. Our DC/DC converter 257E-24-SD is used in this system. Thanks to buck-boost technology, it ensures a stable 24V power supply, even with input voltages below 15VDC. With its high efficiency, the converter ensures maximum efficiency in battery-operated systems and optimizes the operation of automated storage systems.
Custom DC/DC Converters for Battery-Powered Automated Guided Vehicles
A leading developer of automated transport systems turned to us for a reliable, compact, and efficient power supply solution for their battery-powered Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). Their AGVs require either a regulated 24VDC output from a 24VDC input or a step-down from 48VDC to 24VDC, depending on the vehicle type. To address both needs with a single solution, we introduced our versatile DC/DC converter, the 256E-24-SD.
With its wide input voltage range of 15VDC to 70VDC, and an integrated decoupling diode to prevent battery discharge at the input, this converter is an ideal fit for battery-powered systems. Additionally, the 256E-24-SD offers flexible scalability - it can be easily connected in parallel to increase power output, ensuring compatibility with vehicles that have varying power demands.
