DC/DC Converters for wind turbines and renewable energies

Context and Background
Wind turbines are installed outdoors and thus exposed to great climatic stress. The safety systems should remain functional at all times, so that the rotor speed can be adjusted and the emergency brakes applied.

Solution
Two different wide-voltage-range transformers are used here: The switching controller 154DH-24-ON supplies sensors and actuators, while the electrically isolated DC/DC converter 344DH-24 with safe isolation supplies the communication module of the system. These converters have been constantly adapted to the unique wind power challenges over the years and are installed with a full aluminum housing in the latest version.
