he Demke 365DH-24-SD is a galvanically isolated buck-boost DC/DC converter designed for demanding battery, vehicle and industrial applications. With its exceptionally wide input voltage range of 18 to 100 VDC, the converter provides a regulated 24 VDC output at up to 8.4 A, corresponding to an output power of 200 W.
The ultra-wide input range allows the converter to operate across different battery systems and DC power networks while providing substantial tolerance against voltage variations during operation. This makes the 365DH-24-SD particularly suitable for applications where the supply voltage can change significantly depending on state of charge, load conditions, regenerative operation or other operating states.
The wide input voltage range also allows the same DC/DC converter platform to be used across different system architectures. This can reduce the number of converter variants required and simplify system development, spare-parts management and standardisation across vehicle, machine and equipment platforms.
As a special operating condition, the converter can be operated from input voltages as low as 16 VDC. In this operating range, the converter remains functional, but the output voltage will be below the nominal 24 VDC. This provides additional operational reserve in situations where the supply voltage temporarily drops below the specified nominal input range.
Galvanic isolation between input and output provides electrical separation between different power systems. Combined with CC/CV control, support for active loads and the possibility of parallel operation, the 365DH-24-SD offers a high degree of flexibility for battery systems, charging applications and dynamic electrical loads.
Typical applications include battery and energy storage systems, e-mobility, material-handling vehicles, AGVs, AMRs, intralogistics, robotics, automation and supercapacitor systems. The converter is also well suited for applications with highly variable DC supply voltages and increased requirements for electrical isolation and environmental robustness.
For reliable operation in demanding environments, the power electronics are fully encapsulated in polyurethane. The potting compound protects the electronics against moisture, contamination, vibration and other environmental influences while supporting efficient thermal coupling. The 365DH-24-SD is designed for ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +85 °C and achieves an efficiency of up to 92 %.
