DC/DC Converters When Standard Is Not Enough
Discover our powerful and durable DC/DC converters for demanding applications. Our robust and reliable converters for PCB and chassis mounting offer output power from 1 to 1200 W. The range includes galvanically isolated, functionally isolated and non-isolated DC/DC converters with wide and ultra-wide DC input voltage ranges. Find the right DC/DC converter for your application or discover our custom solutions.
Which DC/DC Converter Is Right for Your Application?
DC/DC converters differ in topology, galvanic isolation, input voltage range, output power and mounting type. Our product groups help you find the right solution for your vehicle electrical system, battery system or industrial project.
Non-Isolated DC/DC Buck Converters up to 1200 W
Isolated DC/DC buck-boost converters stabilize changing input voltages and provide galvanic isolation between input and output. They can both step the input voltage down and boost it up, providing a stable and electrically isolated output voltage. They also separate electrical circuits, help reduce ground loops and protect sensitive loads.
Demke DC/DC converters from the 300 and 700 series offer input voltage ranges from around 7 VDC to 160 VDC and output voltages from 5 VDC to 200 VDC. In addition to single output voltages, bipolar versions such as ±15 VDC, ±24 VDC or ±28 VDC are also available.
With power ratings up to 800 W, ultra-wide input voltage ranges, CC/CV control and robust PU potting, these DC/DC converters are suitable for railway systems, vehicles, battery systems, AGVs, forklifts, charging converters and demanding industrial applications.
DC/DC Buck-Boost Converters for Changing Input Voltages
DC/DC buck-boost converters provide a stable output voltage even when the input voltage is sometimes higher or lower than the required output voltage.
This is especially important for batteries and supercapacitors because their voltage can change significantly during charging and discharging. The non-isolated converters of the 200 series work with input voltages starting at around 6 VDC and, depending on the model, provide output voltages between 12 VDC and 29 VDC.
With power ratings up to 600 W, high efficiency, CC/CV control and optional parallel operation, these converters are suitable for AGVs, forklifts, robotics, mobile power systems, backup batteries and other battery-powered systems.
Isolated DC/DC Buck-Boost Converters up to 800 W
Isolated DC/DC converters stabilize changing input voltages and provide galvanic isolation between input and output. This separates electrical circuits, helps reduce ground loops and protects sensitive loads.

Isolated DC/DC Converters for THT PCB Mounting
THT DC/DC converters are inserted through the PCB and soldered in place. They provide a compact, mechanically stable and galvanically isolated power supply directly inside an electronic assembly.
Demke THT PCB converters cover power ratings from 3 W to 30 W, input voltages from 8 VDC to 36 VDC and output voltages from 3.3 VDC to 24 VDC. Depending on the power class, housing sizes such as DIL24, 1″ × 2″ and 1.6″ × 2″ are available.
4:1 wide input voltage ranges, integrated input and output filters and robust aluminium housings make these converters suitable for industrial electronics, railway vehicles, e-mobility, warehouse systems, material handling vehicles and other embedded systems.
Nothing Suitable? We Offer Custom Solutions
Not every power supply can be solved with a standard product. Different battery voltages, special output voltages, limited installation space, special connectors or high mechanical loads may require an adapted or completely new converter solution.
We develop custom DC/DC converters with single and bipolar output voltages, individual input voltage ranges, CC/CV control, galvanic isolation and project-specific connection options.

FAQs
You Have Questions? We Have Answers
What Is a DC/DC Converter?
A DC/DC converter changes one DC voltage into another DC voltage. Depending on the converter type, the output voltage can be lower, higher or regulated independently of the input voltage. DC/DC converters are used to connect different voltage levels in an electrical system and provide devices with the voltage they need.
Which DC/DC Converter Is Right for My Application?
The right converter depends on the input voltage range, output voltage, required power, galvanic isolation, mounting type and environmental conditions. Demke offers non-isolated step-down converters, buck-boost converters, isolated DC/DC converters and THT PCB converters. Our product finder helps you find suitable products for your application.
What Is the Difference Between Isolated and Non-Isolated DC/DC Converters?
With an isolated DC/DC converter, the input and output are galvanically separated. This electrically separates different circuits and can help reduce ground loops. Non-isolated DC/DC converters do not provide this electrical separation and are suitable for applications where galvanic isolation is not required.
Can Demke DC/DC Converters Be Customized?
Yes. If a standard product does not fully meet your requirements, existing Demke DC/DC converters can be adapted or a custom solution can be developed. Depending on the project, the input voltage range, output voltage, power, galvanic isolation, connections or mechanical design can be customized.
How can I order Demke DC/DC converters?
You can request and order our DC/DC converters directly from Demke Electronic. If you are not sure which converter is right for your application, we can help you choose the right product and check your technical requirements.
